G&P were contracted to remove, overhaul and reinstall four lock gates from East London.

This involved removal of the lock gates by way of a large crane, shot-blasting the lock gates, replacement of steel in areas of excessive corrosion and repainting to enable refitting of the ancillary equipment and walkways.

The lock gates were reinstalled in Spring 2023, with new timber, seals and reconditioned equipment fitted.
