G&P recently refurbished the north outer caissons at Chatham Docks, which involved the following tasks:

The design, fabrication and installation of an emergency winch with a 65 tonne pull capacity.

Moving and lifting the estimated 80 tonne north chambers. Due to the location of the chambers, a jacking system had to be designed and built by G&P to carry out the lifting.

All the preparation work to float out and relocate the Caissons, with an individual lift of over 780 tonnes.
